Glen Brown called me last Wednesday to tell me the boys of Bucket List would have an hour and a half available on Saturday for a promo shoot for their 7-member Chicago blues band. I took perverse delight in sending emails to the guys early Saturday that despite the hideously cold and rainy weather the shoot would go as planned. This had turned into the most miserable day since the blizzard of last winter but I had a decent shoot plan and location and was pretty sure I could pull this off. In the very early spring of 2013, before there was even a hint of green, Harrison and I spent some time talking about his music, his influences, and his planned CD. He told me about the planned supporting tour in Europe and Scandinavia and we talked about possible visuals that could describe his album. The music was a return to roots. A complete return. This album is all acoustic and very reminiscent of the deep south porch blues and even field hollers from which most North American blues music originates. We decided to do a test shoot at a little rundown, abandoned farm that I knew of.

Spent a really cool evening at the Dirty Dog in Hamilton, shooting Shanya's concert there. I have to give a shout out to my friend Don Giannatti (wizwow) for his mentorship and help in setting up the concert part of my business. Because of his input we are going to be announcing some major concert shoots in the very near future. Stay tuned. This will be cool!
Man! This was a blast. Clearlight Orchestra is a 7 piece indie band that toured North America back in the 70's-mid 80's doing Pink Floyd covers. They have reunited in the past couple of years and have started writing and recording again and because they are now getting air-play in England for the new stuff, their old fans started to raise a big hullabaloo about wanting to see them in action. So the guys organized this little fete in a warehouse. They arranged for lighting, backdrops, a sound system and invited a couple hundred of their closest friends over for some beer and music, BYOB of course....
