Glen Brown called me last Wednesday to tell me the boys of Bucket List would have an hour and a half available on Saturday for a promo shoot for their 7-member Chicago blues band. I took perverse delight in sending emails to the guys early Saturday that despite the hideously cold and rainy weather the shoot would go as planned. This had turned into the most miserable day since the blizzard of last winter but I had a decent shoot plan and location and was pretty sure I could pull this off. Of course one of them just had to show up wearing white sneakers but what the hell!?!?! Work with what you are given, right?
Wind and rain meant that I couldn’t wrangle any lights because I was flying solo but we did manage to get in four different ambient light setups in the allotted time and this frame jumped into Flickr Explore the morning after I posted and now has almost 6,000 views. Who needs fancy studios and lights out the wazoo anyway?
